The Export–Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is the official export credit agency of the U.S. federal government, operating as a wholly owned government corporation. Its mission is to assist in financing and facilitating U.S. exports of goods and services, stepping in particularly when private-sector lenders are unable or unwilling to provide financing. EXIM supports American exporters and businesses across a broad range of industries by providing loans, loan guarantees, and export credit insurance.
